African Matters ESL classes address the needs of African immigrants in the community. Individuals will take an entry level and needs assessment ESL test to determine the level of class they will be placed in i.e. basic, intermediate or advanced classes.
The basic class will focus on the acquisition of basic English speaking and conversational skills.
The intermediate class will build upon existing basic conversational skills and will introduce language skills.
The advanced class will address the needs of individuals who need assistance with basic reading, comprehension and life skills such as completing a job application, mock job interview, resume, etc.
The 3 month ESL course will take place on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6pm to 7pm.
